JEWELLERY FOR STRESS RELIEF

ENG: For my last project at uni I chose the topic “Jewellery for stress relief”, it has a strong relation to me as I often feel the negative effect of it in my life. Stress is a serious problem, it reduces the quality of life, working ability and ability to fight different diseases. Nowadays, lots of people struggle from this condition. So my aim was to solve the problem of stress through jewellery. I believe, that jewellery are more valuable when it can help a person feel better, both mentally (when jewellery are beautiful and raises positive emotions) and physically (when jewellery serve a specific function). 

Based on this, I have created two wearable pendants, each of them contains different calming essential oil compositions in the beeswax and oil base, which can be applied on skin or can be just inhaled. Pendants are container-like and have texture that is inspired by nature as well as their form comfortably fits in a palm. Textured pieces are more suitable for relieving anxiety, as holding them in hand can divert attention away from a problem and help not to think of it anymore!

RU: Для моего последнего проекта в университете я выбрала тему – снятия стресса, так как я сама нередко подвергаюсь его негативному эффекту. Стресс является серьезной проблемой в наши дни, он ухудшает качество жизни, работоспособность и способность противостоять различным заболеваниям. Поэтому моей задачей было попытаться решить эту проблему с помощью украшений. Я считаю, что украшения обладают большей ценностью, когда они могут помочь человеку чувствовать себя лучше, как ментально (когда украшения поднимают настроение своей красотой), так и физически (когда выполняют какую-то определенную функцию). 

I AM ETHEREAL

ENG: So the time came to show my first collection of contemporary jewellery! :) As Violeta (and everyone on our course) I also had my own word that described my pieces – I AM Ethereal. I was taking my inspiration from nature; in addition I was very influenced by photos of the sky that I took during last summer. The collection consists of 4 rings and earrings.

RU: Пришло время мне тоже показать свою первую коллекцию современных ювелирных украшений! :) Как у Виолетты (и у всех на нашем курсе) у меня было моё слово, которое лучше всего характеризовало мою коллекцию - I AM Ethereal (Эфирный). Своё вдохновение я брала из природы, также в развитии дизайна использовала фотографии неба, сделанные прошлым летом. Коллекция состоит из 4 колец и одних сережек.

I AM COSMIC / Я КОСМИЧЕСКАЯ

ENG: As I promised - my first collection of contemporary jewellery! The collection was developed as part of the project at the university, where all my course mates were involved in creating our own company and brand, and where each student had to make his own collection. One of the conditions was to name the collection "I AM ...". That is, the first part of the title should contain I AM followed by the word that characterizes the aesthetics of a particular student or by any word which he or she considers is more appropriate to describe the collection. I chose the "I AM COSMIC". I think that this title explains my collection and sources of my inspiration best of all.

The collection consists of rings, pendants, earrings and of one necklace. Pieces are made of brass and gold and silver plated, with cold enamel inside.

RU: Как и обещала -  моя первая коллекция современных ювелирных украшений! Коллекция была разработана в рамках  учебного проекта в университете, где мы всем курсом  организовали свою компанию и бренд, и где каждому учащемуся было необходимо создать свою собственную коллекцию. Одним из условий было назвать коллекцию “I AM...” (“Я...”). То есть, первая часть названия должна была содержать I AM, а после должно было следовать слово, характеризующее эстетику конкретного студента или которое он сам посчитает более подходящим, для описания своей коллекции. Я выбрала “I AM COSMIC” (“Я КОСМИЧЕСКАЯ”). Думаю, такое название лучше всего объясняет мою коллекцию и то, откуда я черпала вдохновение.

Коллекция состоит из колец, подвесок, сережек, ожерелья. Изделия сделаны из латуни и покрыты серебром и золотом, с холодной эмалью внутри.

LITTLE UNIVERSES / МАЛЕНЬКИЕ ВСЕЛЕННЫЕ

ENG: Last term at the university, we had a project that I've been looking forward, as the aim of it was to create a personal contemporary jewellery collection. The outcome of it I’m going show in the next post, but for now I would like to share some pictures I shot using a macro lens and which were my inspiration for the project. My models were girls from uni and of course Irina :)

In general, the main topic of my project was cosmos and everything related, such as planets, stars and various celestial objects. But when I was developing my design, it somehow led me to the eyes. They remind me of something cosmic, extraterrestrial. Eyes are like little universes, so different and fascinating!

RU: В прошлом семестре в университете у нас был проект, которого я ждала с нетерпением, так как его целью было создание собственной коллекции современных ювелирных украшений. Что из этого вышло, покажу в следующем посте, а пока, хочу поделиться фотографиями, которые я снимала используя макро линзу и которые служили мне вдохновением впоследствии. Моими моделями были девчонки с универа и конечно же Ира :)

Вообще, основной темой моего проекта был космос и все что с ним связано, а именно планеты, звезды и разные небесные тела. Но в процессе развития моего дизайна я как-то незаметно для себя перешла на глаза, ведь они сами так напоминают что-то космическое, внеземное, они как маленькие вселенные, такие разные и завораживающие!
